District Police Officer Jhelum Visits SLS College for Defence Day Celebration

Jhelum: SLS College marked Defence Day with great zeal and fervor, paying heartfelt tributes to the martyrs who made unparalleled sacrifices for the defense of the nation. The event’s Chief Guest, District Police Officer (DPO) Jhelum, Shakir Hussain Dawar, honored the occasion with his presence.

In his address, DPO Dawar emphasized Jhelum’s proud legacy as the “land of martyrs” and highlighted the priceless blessing of freedom. He paid homage to the martyrs for their sacrifices and offered special prayers in their honor.

Speaking on the occasion, Managing Director of SLS College, Sarfraz Malik, reflected on the events of September 6, 1965. He lauded the spirit of unity displayed by the people of Pakistan, who stood resolutely behind the armed forces to thwart aggression.

The event concluded with the DPO presenting certificates to students excelling in IELTS, IELTS Life Skills A1, Spoken English, and I.T. courses. In recognition of his presence and support, MD SLS Sarfraz Malik presented a commemorative shield to DPO Jhelum Shakir Hussain Dawar.
